Dear All,

Like previous years, SMCS is participating in Canada Day Parade organized by Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Come to celebrate our nation’s birthday at the annual Canada Day Parade!

Canada Day is a free, fun-filled, family-friendly celebration with something for everyone. There is a full afternoon of family-focused activities at MacDonald Island Park and Heritage Village.

Members who are able to join us with SMCS Float, please come dressed in Indian traditional outfits. Please bring Canada Flags if already available with you. Participants are requested to arrive at the staging area by 09:00 AM. See attached map for location.

Parade Route
The parade starts at 10:30 a.m., on RIEDEL STREET; proceeds NORTH on FRANKLIN AVENUE and ends at MORRISON STREET.

Parade Schedule

• 07:00 a.m. – Staging on Clearwater Drive
• 10:30 a.m. – Parade begins on Riedel Street
• 12:00 p.m. – Parade ends at Morrison Street
• 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. – De-staging on Clearwater Drive
