Sanatan Mandir Cultural Society of Fort McMurray is pleased to invite all community members for Rath Yatra in Fort McMurray.
Devotees from Hare Krishna Mandir Edmonton will join this spiritual event and assist us from start to finish.
Rath Yatra, also called Chariot Festival, is a Hindu festival that involves transporting deities Lord Jagannatha (Krishna), Balarama & Subhadra on a Rath (Chariot). The procession will be held in Eagle Ridge. All the way through there will be melodious singing, chanting and dancing to rhythmical drums and cymbals.

Event Details:

• Date: 6 July 2018 Saturday
• Mangla Aarti: 8:00 AM at 460 Killdeer Way, EagleRidge, Fort McMurray
• Procession Time: 10:00 AM 11:00 AM at @ Holy Trinity High      School
• Prasad & Bhajans: 11.30 AM to 1:30 PM @ Holy      Trinity High School
• Procession      Route: Within Holy Trinity High School Parking Lot.

Important Instructions:

• In order to be respectful to neighbors, no gathering on driveway or streets near 460 Killdeer Way will be permitted during Magla Aarti.
• Rath Yatra will start from Holy Trinity High School.
• Please don’t leave garbage on the road or sidewalk.
• All parents are requested to keep kids within procession boundary, we will be walking through the high traffic parking zone.
• All devotees are requested to remain in the group. Please do not keep any gap in procession.

All members are requested to wear Indian Traditional outfits. Our humble request to avoid wearing Shorts.
