SMCS is participating in Canada Day Parade organized by Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Come to celebrate our nation’s birthday at the annual Canada Day Parade!

Canada Day is right around the corner and there are lots of great community events and activities happening on July 1 for you and your family to enjoy.

Members who are able to join us with SMCS Float, please come dressed in Indian traditional outfits. Please bring Canada Flags if already available with you.

Parade Route

The Canada Day Parade will take place on July 1, 2024, at 10:30am. The parade will start at the corner of Main Street and Franklin Avenue, travelling South on Franklin Avenue and will end at Riedel Street.
Parade Schedule

· 07:15 a.m. – Floats will start marshalling on Clearwater Dr. using Prairie Loop Blvd. – Please join us here for decoration.

· 09:30 a.m. – Float must be ready and safety checks

· 10:00 a.m. – The parade will push together to get into position

· 10:15 a.m. – Parade will move up the sensory friendly zone on Main Street

· 10:30 p.m. – Parade will start with lights, sirens, music, and horns at the intersection of Main Street and Franklin
